Christmas Break 2009 pt. 1

Now that J is back from his boys weekend, I have my camera back and can begin posting about our CA visit thus far.

Since I arrived on the 14th, and J didn't arrive till the 19th, I spent pretty much entire week cleaning my parents' house. They're ridiculously busy people and you can tell by the mess in their house. After restoring enough order for me not to hyperventilate every time I step outside my room, I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation.

One of the first events was what I call my "married friends" Christmukkah. This year it was in Campbell at Marion and Scott's place. Great company, great food, and a great time. Last year we just had one baby, and this year we had two! I think we should be adding a baby a year for the next couple of years. I realized that we didn't take a "guys" picture this year. Oh well! Here's the lovely ladies:

Baby E is so adorable I had to take a picture with him.

Total cutie, isn't he?

After our Chrismukkah, John and I headed over to 4th Street Bowl in San Jose to attend Someday Soon's Inaugural Bowling Tournament. Someday Soon, Inc. is a charity started by a few of our friends to help Orphans in Vietnam go to school. You should definitely check out their website. It's really a great thing they're doing.

Anyway, the winners of the bowling tournament (one for guys, one for girls) was given $50. I love me some bowling, so I couldn't miss an opportunity to play while helping out the charity! I started the game with a strike, and it was awesome. Then the next 5 frames were all duds. So sad. Then by some miracle I got 4 strikes in a row. Woo hoo. By the end of my first game, I got a 165, and beat out my friend Rosette for the highest score for the women's. At the same time, my friend Kevin in the next lane over managed to get like 6 strikes in a row, and ended up with a score of 218! Not his highest, and not my highest, but we were happy to win.

We're #1!!!

Overall, the day was great! Great way to start off J's vacation.
