Snow Day

This past Weds, the UW Madison campus had a snow day, which apparently it never has. Madison was expected to get 12-16 inches of snow that day, not to mention blizzard conditions. Luckily for J and I, we were up in Marshfield. Once J and his Marshfield classmates confirmed on Tuesday night that the snow day included all UW Madison students (i.e. not just the students in Madison, since they're on away rotations in Marshfield), we all stayed up late on Tuesday night just hanging out. Very fun times just relaxing and enjoying the not-so-blizzardy conditions in central Wisconsin.

On Weds, J made his snow day into a productive day. Since he has his OSCE (don't ask me what it stands for, I just know it's an exam) and internal medicine shelf exam next week, he was very grateful for a free day to study. I, on the other hand, was trying to figure out what to do about our Christmas cards. With exactly two weeks left until Christmas, I really gotta get crackin on them. I had an idea to buy those foam Cheeseheads to wear in our cards, so we bought them a few weeks ago. Since then they've just been sitting on top of our bookcase. Luckily, I had the foresight to bring the cheeseheads with me to Marshfield. Once J was done studying, I dragged him outside to take pictures.

Even though we weren't experiencing any blizzard conditions, it was still quite chilly outside. J was not happy as the wind chill made the temperature feel 10x worse than it really was. I managed to prop our camera on a post, and snap about 7 or so pictures before the wind blew my camera into a pile of powder snow. *insert sad face* None of the pictures were super great, but we decided on one, so now I have to make some cards. But just in case that never happens, Here's the picture we decided on:

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
