The three month mark

Yesterday, John and I celebrated our 3 month mark. I’ve come to discover that most couples don’t really celebrate monthly anniversaries, which I had never really noticed. I think our monthly celebrations stem from the fact that John and I are high school sweethearts. We started dating in high school, and you remember how high school was. You pretty much celebrated every year, month, and maybe even week. I’m not saying that celebrating or not celebrating is good or bad. I just find it second nature to celebrate the month anniversaries as well as the year. But then again, I think John and I find any excuse to go out to eat! This time we decided to go to Abuelos. I think John was influenced by the tv. We (read: me) were watching “17 kids and counting.” It was the episode where the oldest son proposed to his girlfriend. After they got engaged in Florida, he took her back to his home in Arkansas. While in Arkansas, they decided to have dinner, and lo and behold, they had dinner at Abuelos. So our 3 month anniversary came the next day, and John took me to Abuelos.

We ended the night by me kicking his butt at Boggle. God Bless his soul, he tries. I’m too much of a competitor to let him win, and he’s too sweet to stop playing. We make a great team. 3 months down, 5197 to go!
